Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 25, 2026 · Last updated: September 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit moneystretching.com (the “site”), how it is used and shared, how long it is kept, and the choices and rights you have. The site is published by Moneystretching (“Moneystretching,” “we,” “us”).
If you have a question about this policy, write to privacy@moneystretching.com.
Summary and notice at collection
- We do not ask for your name, address or phone number. There are no accounts, sign-up or contact forms, or comments on the site. If you email us, we receive your email address and your message.
- When you read the site, information is collected automatically: your IP address, device and browser details, approximate location derived from your IP address, the pages you view and how you interact with them, the link that brought you here, and cookie and advertising identifiers.
- We use it to run and secure the site, to understand which articles are read, and to show, measure and pay for advertising.
- Advertising partners, including Google and Meta, may collect some of this information through cookies, pixels and similar technologies. Under California law this counts as “selling” and “sharing” personal information, and under other state laws as “sale” or “targeted advertising.” You can opt out at Your Privacy Choices, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal.
- We do not ask for information about your health. We do not use the Meta Pixel on pages about specific medical conditions, treatments, procedures, medications, medical devices or disabilities, or on our search results pages. We do not sell reader information as leads.
- We keep information only as long as described in How long we keep information. California residents can find the categories of information, their purposes and retention periods in Additional information for California residents.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you write to one of our email addresses, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message. Please do not send us Social Security numbers, account numbers, medical details or other sensitive information. We do not need them to answer you.
Information collected automatically when you use the site. Our servers, and the tools and partners described below, record:
- your IP address and the approximate location derived from it (such as city, state or ZIP code area, not your precise location)
- device and browser information, such as device type, operating system, browser type, language and screen size
- the pages you view, the time you spend on them, how far you scroll, the search terms you select, and the links, buttons and ad units you click
- the address of the page or ad that brought you to the site, including campaign parameters and click identifiers added by advertising platforms (for example “fbclid”)
- identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies, and the date and time of each visit
Information we do not ask for. We do not ask for or knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account or card numbers, driver’s license numbers, precise geolocation, biometric information, or information about your health or medical conditions.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- deliver the site to your device, keep it working, and protect it against fraud, abuse, bots and security threats
- understand how the site is used, which articles are read, and where pages are hard to use, so we can improve them
- show advertising, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and detect invalid ad traffic
- measure and improve our own advertising on social media platforms
- answer your messages, correct errors in our articles and respond to requests about your personal information
- comply with the law, enforce our Terms of Use, and protect our rights and the rights and safety of others
We do not collect, use or sell personal information to train large language models or other artificial intelligence models.
Cookies, pixels and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Pixels (sometimes called web beacons or tags) are small pieces of code that send information about your visit to the company that provides them. Third parties, including Google and Meta, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our site. We and our partners use these technologies on the site as follows:
| Type | Provider | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Cloudflare and Cloudflare Zaraz | Cloudflare protects the site against bots and attacks and delivers pages; Zaraz remembers your privacy choices and resolves your country code to apply the correct privacy settings. The site cannot work properly without these. |
| Analytics | Google Analytics 4 | Counts visits and measures how pages are used. In the United States it is enabled by default after a notice; elsewhere it starts only after you choose Analytics. We do not use Google Analytics advertising features. |
| Analytics | Yandex Metrica | Counts visits, page views, time on the site and clicks. In the United States it is enabled by default after a notice; elsewhere it starts only after you choose Analytics. It uses browser identifiers and receives the page path without search query parameters. We do not enable session replay or e-commerce tracking. |
| Advertising | Google and its advertising partners | In the United States, the Google advertising script is allowed to load by default after a notice, unless you opt out or send a GPC signal. Manual ad blocks are not currently active; automatic ad placement depends on the advertising account settings. Elsewhere, the script requires an Advertising choice and is never loaded in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, or when the country is unknown. |
| Advertising | Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel | Not currently enabled. If configured in the future, it may measure page views and reading actions after an Advertising choice, outside excluded pages. |
For US visitors, GA4 and Yandex Metrica start by default after a short notice; you can opt out at Your Privacy Choices. Outside the US, optional analytics and advertising stay off until you choose them. If we cannot determine your country, all optional tools remain off. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site remains available if you opt out or reject optional technologies.
Advertising on this site
The site is free to read and may be supported by advertising. Our Advertising Disclosure explains the kinds of ads we show and how we are paid.
Google advertising is disabled for visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, and when the visitor’s country cannot be determined. In the United States, the Google advertising script is allowed to load after the notice unless you opt out or send a GPC signal. In other known countries outside the restricted regions, it requires your Advertising choice. We have not activated manual display or Related searches blocks; whether automatic ads appear depends on the advertising account settings. Google. When enabled, display ads on the site may be supplied by Google LLC through an advertising company that manages the Google advertising account used on this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google in My Ad Center, and you can opt out of personalized advertising from many other ad technology companies at aboutads.info. To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, visit How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
“Related searches” blocks. Some pages may include blocks of related search terms and sponsored listings. When these features are active, the search terms and device information may be shared with Google to deliver listings.
Meta. The browser-based Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., may be used after Advertising consent on eligible pages. When it is active, information such as your IP address, browser details, the web address of the page and identifiers stored in Meta’s cookies is sent to Meta, from your browser. The web address of a page can indicate its topic. We do not send Meta the article’s title, its text or the search terms you select. Meta and other third parties may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect or receive information from this site and elsewhere on the internet and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads. We do not use the Meta Pixel on pages about specific medical conditions, treatments, procedures, medications, medical devices or disabilities, or on our search results pages. You can opt out at Your Privacy Choices or at aboutads.info, and you can manage how Meta uses information from other websites in your Meta ad preferences.
Google Analytics. Google Analytics collects information through cookies about how you use the site and reports it to us. Google explains how it uses this information at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can prevent Google Analytics from using your information with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Yandex Metrica. Yandex Metrica measures visits and how readers use the site. Its tag can set analytics cookies and send Yandex information about your browser, approximate location, pages viewed and interactions such as clicks. For US visitors, we load it by default after showing a privacy notice; it is disabled when you opt out or GPC is detected. Elsewhere, we load it only after you allow Analytics in Cloudflare Zaraz. We send the page path without search query parameters, disable page-title transmission and session replay, and do not use its e-commerce tracking. You can change the Analytics setting at Your Privacy Choices and read Yandex’s privacy policy.
How we share information
We share personal information only as described in this policy:
- Service providers that host, deliver and protect the site, handle our email, and support our operations. They may use the information only to provide their services to us.
- Analytics providers: Google and Yandex receive information through their measurement tools as described above and process it under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Advertising partners: Google LLC, the advertising company that manages the Google advertising account used on this site, and Meta Platforms, Inc., as described in Advertising on this site. These partners may use the information they collect for their own purposes under their own privacy policies.
- Authorities and others when required by law, for example in response to a subpoena or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
- A buyer or successor if the site or our company is sold, merged or reorganized, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your name, email address or other contact details, and we do not sell or rent reader information as leads or mailing lists.
Your choices
- Opt out of targeted advertising, “sales” and “sharing.” Use Your Privacy Choices. When you opt out, we stop loading the Meta Pixel, Yandex Metrica, Google Analytics and Google advertising for your browser. The site remains available without optional analytics or ads.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser or extension sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser. It overrides any saved permission, disables optional analytics and advertising, and removes cookies that this site can access. You do not need to do anything else.
- Do Not Track. Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common standard for how websites should respond to it, the site does not change its behavior in response to Do Not Track. We do honor GPC as described above.
- Browser controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use the Google and industry opt-out tools linked in Advertising on this site.
Cloudflare Zaraz stores your privacy choices for the browser and device you use. For US visitors, a first-party ms_us_implicit cookie records that the regional default is in effect; it does not record user consent. A separate first-party cookie remembers that you dismissed the short notice. If you clear your cookies or use a different browser, review your settings there as well, or turn on GPC. You can review your choices at Your Privacy Choices.
How long we keep information
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Server and security logs (IP address, browser details, pages requested) | Up to 90 days, unless needed longer to investigate a security incident |
| Event-level Google Analytics data | 14 months, then deleted automatically. Aggregated reports that do not identify you may be kept longer. |
| Emails you send us | Until your message has been handled, and then for up to 24 months |
| Records of privacy requests and our responses | 24 months, as required by law |
| Privacy choices stored by Cloudflare Zaraz for your browser | Until the browser cookie expires or you clear it |
Analytics and advertising providers, including Google, Yandex and Meta, keep the information they receive for the periods set out in their own privacy policies.
Security
We serve the site over encrypted connections, limit access to the systems that hold personal information, and use security services to block attacks. No website can guarantee perfect security.
Children
The site is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children or teenagers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of, or target advertising to, anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to privacy@moneystretching.com and we will delete it.
Health information
Some of our articles explain the cost of medical care, prescription drugs and health insurance. We do not ask for information about your health, and we do not use the pages you read or the search terms you select to draw conclusions about your health. We do not load the Meta Pixel on pages about specific medical conditions, treatments, procedures, medications, medical devices or disabilities, or on our search results pages. If you email us about a health matter, we use your message only to reply to you.
Your privacy rights in the United States
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and a growing number of other states have rights over their personal information under state law. We honor the requests below from readers in any US state. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know and access: confirm whether we process your personal information and get a copy of it, including in a portable format
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information we hold about you
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
- Get a list of the categories of third parties, or the specific third parties, to which we have disclosed personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
Nevada residents may also ask us not to sell their covered information by writing to privacy@moneystretching.com.
How to make a request. To opt out, use Your Privacy Choices or turn on Global Privacy Control; no verification is needed. For any other request, email privacy@moneystretching.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line. Tell us what you are asking for and your state of residence.
Verification. Because we do not have accounts and do not ask for your name, most of the information we hold is linked only to a browser cookie or an IP address. To find it and to protect it from being released to the wrong person, we may ask you for details that let us match your request to our records, such as the approximate dates of your visits and the browser and device you used. If we cannot verify a request, we will tell you why.
Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. For requests other than opt-outs, we may ask the agent for your signed permission and ask you to confirm your identity directly with us.
Response time. We confirm that we have received a request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you, and we may extend that period once by up to 45 more days where the law allows. We act on opt-out requests sent by email within 15 business days.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or by emailing privacy@moneystretching.com with “Privacy appeal” in the subject line. We will respond within the time your state’s law requires, usually 45 to 60 days, and explain our decision. If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.

In the past 12 months, we have “sold” and “shared” (as the CCPA defines those terms) identifiers, internet or other electronic network activity, and approximate geolocation to advertising partners (Google LLC, the company that manages our Google advertising account, and Meta Platforms, Inc.) by allowing them to collect this information through cookies and pixels for cross-context behavioral advertising. We did so for advertising and for measuring advertising. You can opt out at Your Privacy Choices or with Global Privacy Control. Direct marketing. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes as described in California Civil Code Section 1798.83.
Visitors outside the United States
The site is intended for readers in the United States. Information is processed in the United States and in other countries where we and our service providers operate. US visitors see a short notice and may opt out of analytics and advertising at any time; GPC disables optional tools. Visitors from other known countries are asked to choose before optional analytics or advertising starts. If we cannot determine a visitor’s country, optional tools stay off. Google advertising is unavailable in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland. You can change or withdraw your choice at Your Privacy Choices.
